The Rose Robin (Petroica rosea) is a small, vibrant bird with a soft grey upper body and a striking rose-pink chest on the male, while the female is more subdued with grey-brown plumage. Both sexes have a white patch on the forehead, a thin beak, and are often found flitting through the understory of wet forests in southeastern Australia.
